Hello I'm Carina Buckley!

Who am I?

I'm Carina Buckley, a writer and writing coach

I am an experienced writer, although I would not always have described myself that way. Over the years I have been an archaeologist, a lecturer, a learning developer and a manager, as well as an editor, a podcaster and a facilitator. Throughout it all, I have been writing. Most of the words went into academic articles and book chapters and two edited books, but there were plenty left over to go into a healthy batch of short plays performed in the Salisbury Fringe festival and two draft novels.

I believe that writing is more than simply putting words on a page. When we find the right words and get them in the right order, it taps into something about who we are and how we see the world. And when we share our writing with others, we can draw them in and bring them along on the journey with us. I can’t think of much that feels more satisfying than that – unless it is helping others to do the same thing.
